“Sanctuaria” is a photo essay that explores life in animal sanctuaries.
Facilities, usually in the countryside, where committed workers and volunteers bring in animals from vulnerable situations, where they devote to their care and protection until their natural death.
Adherent to these places is not only their strong defense for animals rights but a philosophy of environmental conservation rasing awareness about the impact on the planet of the exploitation industry.
A new transformative proposal for a different relationship with nature based on a respect for animals and for the planet’s limited resources that are being devastated by factory farming and increase the global warming.
