Laomei green reef, located in Shimen District, New Taipei City, Taiwan, is originally the volcanic reef left on the coast after the eruption of Datun volcano. After a long time of wave erosion, there leaves a harder longitudinal groove. In particular, within the period of February to May every year, the wave brought by the northeast monsoon will overflow the reef, and breed ulva, sea hair and other seaweed in the rock surface of the reef. The bright green seaweed together with the blue sea water indeed reflect the beautiful scenery.
